Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Isaiah 29:13-14

English Standard Version (ESV)

13 And the Lord said: “Because  this people  draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,

14 therefore, behold,  I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and  the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”

It’s sad how it says that the fear of the Lord is a commandment taught by men, rather than something that is innate in humans. So many people live without the fear of the Lord in their hearts and we wonder why nothing gets done.

We’ve become so watered down, so tainted by the world, that humanity has forgotten its creator.

Let’s just speak plainly…

Even the demons claim that Christ is who He says He is, and they shudder at his name. That “shudder” is more of a response than most Christians give in response to His name. How sad is that.  A demon has more fear and reverence than the average human being. Let that sink in a little bit.

Now is not the time to merely confess Christ with our tongues, it is time to live out faith with our lives and do so as MEN and WOMEN. Not girly, emotional, vampire men with too much angst and not as women who want to take over the position that God has reserved for bold men (leadership in the family)…but as Godly Men and Women, that LOVE Christ and obey His word.

Let this scripture take you through the rest of the week.
