The Color Of Truth

truth

Buzzing around the internet are so many ideas and emotionally charged situations designed to cause a reaction among viewers. Sadly, rather than researching and seeking truth, people decide to believe the first thing that is told to them.

How absurd is that? Even the Bereans, when listening to PAUL, a disciple of Jesus Christ (all things to all people), tested what was spoken against the written Word of God. So what makes us think the media is any more credible than Jesus, through Paul, that we should not do research?

Most recently the member of the “Duck Dynasty” show, shared His biblical viewpoint (albeit not eloquently) on certain sin natures that are evident throughout the United States. When faced with truth the media immediately responded negatively and defensively.

Truth exposes lies, it exposes sin, and causes it to be seen through the lens of God.

People don’t like that. When truth exposes our sin or weakness there are only two responses:

-Repentance
-Rejection

Repentance is an act of turning back towards Jesus Christ and His truth. Rejection is the act of making sin acceptable and tolerable.

Read for yourself what occurred with this “Duck Dynasty” conversation as it is all over Facebook and the rest of the internet.

What is most interesting about all of this chatter online is the fact that rarely do individuals take the time to look at and understand truth. God doesn’t differentiate between sin, as all sin comes with a consequence: Death.

However, He does differentiate between how we treat sin vs how we treat sinners.

What if people said that their favorite color (type of sin) is Blue? Do the ones who like Red, Green, etc. then kill the Blue people?

Absolutely not.

Newsflash: Jesus favorite color is White (purity).

“Let your garments be always white [with purity], and let your head not lack [the] oil [of gladness].” (Ecclesiastes 9:8 AMP)

It’s the absence of all earthly pigment but the presence of ALL colors of light, which is a perfect picture of who Jesus is.

In other words, it is the absence of sins of the flesh (color pigment), and in the spirit it is the complete covering of His blood over ALL sin.
God’s perfect light permeated all of creation, but the moment Adam and Eve decided to long after sin, a prism was placed into the picture that broke and scattered that light into different colors.

These different colors look like idolatry, pride, murder, religion, and all the facets of doctrinal differences and interpretations of who or what God is and the best “way” to get to Him.

It took the perfect blood of Jesus Christ to reverse the mistake and decision that Adam and Eve began. It took our OWN creator to come and reintroduce what perfect truth and light looked like so that we could then be brought back to Him. He united us with His Holy Spirit allowing for the stain of whatever “color” of sin we were wearing…to be washed completely away. It was then that He dressed us in white…in purity.

“Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.” (Revelation 3:5 AMP)

TRUTH is about revealing and eradicating sin. LOVE is where we do this so that through us, Jesus can save the sinner.

This is why we are commanded to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15 AMP). We must expose and eradicate sin because of how much we love the sinner.
